JASANZ Unveils Brand Refresh to Support Strategic Vision
The organisation unveiled a new visual identity, website, and refreshed positioning
The Joint Accreditation System of Australia and New Zealand (JASANZ) today unveiled their refreshed brand.
The brand refresh, which commenced in 2020, was prompted by the desire to contemporise JASANZ as well as solve practical issues on the easy reproduction of its accreditation symbol.
“The JASANZ accreditation symbol is a trusted symbol. We wanted to be sure this symbol is not misused, and so we felt a refresh was necessary, including additional protections for the new symbols,” said James Galloway, Chief Executive Officer. “In addition, we believed that separation of a ‘marketing mark’ and ‘compliance symbol’ was important. The release today is of the marketing mark, with the compliance symbol to be released once registration is complete and a transition arrangement has been consulted”.
JASANZ, an independent, government authorised third-party that provides internationally recognised accreditation of conformity assessment bodies, was formed by Treaty between the Australian and New Zealand governments in 1991. Since then, the brand has grown to now include accreditation of 138 conformity assessment bodies (CABs) issuing over 173,980 accredited certifications under JASANZ accreditation.
The brand refresh today reflects a renewed vision to elevate accreditation from a compliance-driven exercise to one that delivers business advantage and better outcomes for all stakeholders.
The new logo features a visual binary representation of the new brand essence, ‘Go further’. The refresh includes a new website and updated register where users can search for accredited bodies, certified organisations, product and persons and more. The new visual identity includes an updated colour palette of blues and greens that help to further convey the message of trust and innovation. Most notably, the refresh includes the removal of the dash from the JASANZ name (formerly JAS-ANZ).
“JASANZ builds confidence in accreditation and certification systems, and resulting conformity assessment results, by working collaboratively with stakeholders, both locally and internationally, to provide guidance, oversight and expertise” said CEO James Galloway. “Our aim is to support the effective operation of markets through both our services and reputation. Our brand refresh today will help us to continue this work.”
