Quality 5.0: People, Processes and Performance with Integrity

JASANZ are proud to be Gold Sponsors of this year’s Qualcon 2023.

Qualcon 2023 offers a comprehensive program of  interactive and engaging presentations and plenary events, workshops, networking and social events.

The pre-conference workshop commence on 11 October 2023 and will be collaborative and interactive spaces to develop and learn.

The 2 days of speakers and presentations on 12 and 13 October offere a fantastic opportunity for hearing new and different insights into the people, processes, and performance elements of Quality and how integrity should underpin these elements.

In the ever-changing quality environment, there has been a progression from Quality 4.0 (focused on digitisation and automation of processes, performance and ‘people’) to Quality 5.0, which takes a more human-centred approach.

Quality 5.0 considers disparate issues such as human-robot collaboration, development of sustainable and resilient systems and human centricity.

Kim Leighton, JASANZ Sector Manager Food and Biologicals, will present a workshop on Determining Audit Duration.

This workshop will explore key factors in determining audit durations. Participants will have the opportunity to:

  1. Work with the requirements audit bodies currently use (QMS and Food Safety).
  2. Identify pitfalls of the current approaches.
  3. See how current processes/interpretations can influence audit duration outcomes.
  4. Discuss the critical factors that influence how audit durations are calculated. (Discussion outcomes will be provided to the Researchers at Monash University for continued evaluation.)

The conference will be held in the beautiful grounds of the Deakin University Waterfront campus. Against the backdrop of Geelong as a place of innovation and new technologies, it will be a great place to consider the here and now of Quality and the possibilities for the future.
