35 years of assurance in action
- Author: JASANZ
For 35 years, JASANZ has turned assurance into action across Australia, New Zealand, and beyond. From the food on your plate to the care in your community, the buildings you enter, and the technology you use, our work ensures that the systems behind everyday life meet rigorous and trusted standards. Communities, industries, and governments can be assured that what they rely on is backed by independent, internationally recognised accreditation.
Born from the 1991 treaty between Australia and New Zealand, JASANZ was founded on a shared commitment to quality, cooperation, and public trust. That trans-Tasman foundation continues to guide us. It has strengthened the way our two nations work together, supported the seamless movement of goods and services, and given businesses the confidence to operate across borders. Over three and a half decades, it has become a model of collaboration with real-world impact.
Across health and human services, food and biological systems, sustainability, innovation, and product certification, our accreditation turns standards into outcomes that protect people and strengthen industry. Every certificate, audit, and inspection is assurance in action. With more than 200,000 certificates issued and relied on across over 100 economies, the reach of this work extends far beyond our shores and is visible in workplaces, communities, and supply chains worldwide.
As we celebrate 35 years, we honour the leadership, expertise, and dedication that have built a trusted trans-Tasman accreditation system. We look ahead to continuing this work—protecting, connecting, and empowering—so you can be assured that the systems and services you rely on remain safe, reliable, and recognised across the world.
