Sarah Valentine appointed JASANZ Chief Executive Officer

The Board of the Joint Accreditation System of Australia and New Zealand (JASANZ) has appointed Sarah Valentine as Chief Executive Officer.
Ms Valentine has been Acting CEO since July 2025 and brings extensive leadership experience within JASANZ and across the corporate sector.
Jeanette Roberts, Chair of the JASANZ Board, said the appointment is a decisive step in ensuring JASANZ continues to lead and innovate in assurance.
“Sarah has provided steady and effective leadership during her time as Acting CEO, delivering results and demonstrating clear strategic vision.
“She has strengthened JASANZ’s impact, and her appointment positions JASANZ to continue advancing assurance across Australia and New Zealand,” Ms Roberts said.
Ms Valentine said she was honoured to be appointed CEO and welcomed the opportunity to lead JASANZ at a pivotal moment.
“I am grateful for the Board’s confidence and am committed to leading JASANZ with purpose.

Ms Valentine brings extensive leadership experience including senior roles in Defence Industry and with the ACT Chamber of Commerce.
She was named Telstra’s Corporate and Private Business Woman of the Year for ACT in 2015 and is recognised for strategic leadership, operational excellence, and stakeholder engagement.
