JASANZ Expands AI Assurance Capability

JASANZ has strengthened trusted AI across Australia and New Zealand with a second organisation now accredited under the AI Management System Scheme (AIMSS).

Compass Assurance Services Pty Ltd achieved their accreditation earlier this month against the AIMSS scheme. This follows the landmark accreditation of the first CAB earlier this year — a regional first that marked the beginning of formal oversight for AI governance systems.
AIMSS is based on ISO/IEC 42001, the world’s first international standard for AI management systems, providing practical guidance for using AI safely, transparently, ethically and effectively.

With Compass Assurance Services now accredited, the network of organisations supporting AI continues to grow, showing the scheme’s practical value across Australia and New Zealand.

Join the AIMSS Accreditation Network

Each new AIMSS-accredited organisation builds confidence in responsible AI. We’re encouraging conformity assessment bodies to explore AIMSS accreditation and help shape best practice across the region. Applications are open now via the JASANZ web form.

Learn ISO/IEC 42001 in Practice

To help organisations put these standards into practice, JASANZ has developed its own training in trusted AI, built on ISO/IEC 42001, the world’s first standard on AI management.

Designed for professionals working in certification, regulation, or implementing AI management systems, the course equips participants to:

  • understand the core requirements of ISO/IEC 42001
  • apply practical governance approaches to real AI use cases
  • assess AI risks and controls with confidence
  • support organisations to demonstrate trustworthy, well-managed AI
