35 Years of JASANZ: trust, partnership, and accreditation

As part of our 35 years celebrations, JASANZ welcomed members of our community to Parliament House in Canberra for a special event recognising the people, partnerships and expertise that have shaped our organisation over the past three and a half decades, and the relationships that continue to strengthen our work across Australia and Aotearoa.

Throughout the event, speakers reflected on JASANZ’s journey, the evolution of accreditation, and the important role our community has played in supporting confidence and trust in accredited conformity assessment.

“At the launch, the ambition was to open doors — bilateral agreements, international recognition, a system the world would trust.

Today, that work reaches more than 100 economies through over 200,000 certificates — helping products cross borders, supporting confidence in services, and opening opportunities for businesses across our region and beyond.”

Their words highlighted not only the achievements of the last 35 years, but also the opportunities ahead as JASANZ continues to support accreditation excellence across the region.

As we celebrate this milestone year, we are proud of the expertise, collaboration, and commitment that have defined JASANZ since 1991. Most importantly, we are grateful to the people whose contributions have shaped our journey and continue to help drive our work forward.
