JASANZ Academy learning pathways
We now offer learning pathways for the onboarding of new Certification Body team members to help develop their understanding of the standards and IAF MDs. Pathways can be designed specifically to meet individual and team professional development needs.
Here are our learning pathways designed to support your onboarding as a new Certification Body team member. These pathways will help you build a strong understanding of relevant standards and IAF Mandatory Documents (MDs). They can also be customised to suit your individual or team’s professional development needs.

Pathway 1: Management System Certification
The Management System Certification Learning Pathway is designed to provide the knowledge and skills in key areas including conformity assessment, the ISO/IEC 17021-1 Management System Certification Standard, key IAF MDs, and human skills.
The pathway includes the following online (self-paced) courses:
- Introduction to Conformity Assessment
Introduces the conformity assessment process and the concepts that underpin the global assurance framework. - Introduction to JASANZ
Provides an overview of JASANZ and its role as an Accreditation Body. - ISO/IEC 17021-1:2015 Management System Certification Training
Covers the requirements of the standard and its practical application. - IAF MD 2: 2023 Transferring Accredited Certification of Management Systems Training
Explores the requirements of IAF MD 2 and how they are applied. - IAF MD 4:2025 Use of ICT for Remote Auditing/Assessment Purposes
Explains the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in remote auditing, in line with IAF MD 4. - Calculation of Audit Time using IAF MDs 1, 5 and 11
Supports understanding of the relevant IAF MDs and how to calculate audit duration effectively. - Emotional Intelligence for Auditors and Assessors
Guides the development of human skills to enhance communication and interpersonal relationships.
The standard enrolment fee for all the courses listed above is AUD $3,120 (inc. GST). However, the Learning Pathway fee is just AUD $2,800 (inc. GST), giving you a saving of AUD $320.
Pathway 2: Product Certification
The Product Certification Learning Pathway is designed to provide the knowledge and skills in key areas including conformity assessment, the ISO/IEC 17065 Product Certification Standard, key IAF MDs, and human skills.
The pathway includes the following online (self-paced) courses:
- Introduction to Conformity Assessment
Introduces the conformity assessment process and the concepts that underpin the global assurance framework. - Introduction to JASANZ
Provides an overview of JASANZ and its role as an Accreditation Body. - ISO/IEC 17065:2012 Product Certification
Offers insight into the benefits and impact of ISO/IEC 17065 – the international standard for bodies certifying products, processes, and services. - IAF MD 4: Use of ICT for Remote Auditing/Assessment Purposes
Explains the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in remote auditing, in line with IAF MD 4. - Emotional Intelligence for Auditors and Assessors
Guides the development of human skills to enhance communication and interpersonal relationships.
The standard enrolment fee for all the courses listed above is AUD $2,460 (inc. GST). However, the Learning Pathway fee is AUD $2,200 (inc. GST), saving you AUD $260.
Pathway 3: Validation and Verification
The Validation/Verification Learning Pathway is designed to provide the knowledge and skills in key areas including conformity assessment, the ISO/IEC 17029 and ISO 14065 standards, key IAF MDs and human skills.
This pathway includes the following online (self-paced) courses:
- Introduction to Conformity Assessment
Introduces the conformity assessment process and the concepts that underpin the global assurance framework. - Introduction to JASANZ
Provides an overview of JASANZ and its role as an Accreditation Body. - IAF MD 4:2025 Use of ICT for Conformity Assessment Purposes
Explains the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in remote auditing, in line with IAF MD 4. - Emotional Intelligence for Auditors and Assessors
Guides the development of human skills to enhance communication and interpersonal relationships. - ISO/IEC 17029:2019 Validation and Verification Body Requirements Training
Provides an overview of ISO/IEC 17029, outlining general principles and requirements for validation and verification bodies. - ISO 14065 Validation and Verification of Environmental Information Training
Introduces the ISO 14065 Validation and Verification of Environmental Information standard.
The standard enrolment fee for all the courses listed above is AUD $3,390 (inc. GST). However, the Learning pathway fee is AUD $3,000 (inc. GST), saving you AUD $390.
