What does it cover?

This course covers ISO 22003-1:2022 Requirements for bodies providing audit and certification of food safety management systems and ISO 22003-2:2022 Requirements for bodies providing evaluation and certification of products, processes and services, including an audit of the food safety system. The requirements set out in these standards enables Certification Bodies (CBs) to undertake the certification of food safety management systems and food safety systems.

What are the course pre-requisites?

It is recommended that course participants complete training, or are competent, in the requirements of the following standards prior to undertaking this training course:

  • ISO/IEC 17021-1 Management Systems Certification, and
  • ISO 22000 Food Management Systems.

This course does not cover any requirements of ISO/IEC 17021-1, and therefore, we recommend that you have completed ISO/IEC 17021-1 training prior to attending training in ISO 22003. It is also expected that auditors and assessors would be competent in the requirements of ISO 22000 Food Safety Management.

This prerequisite is provided as a guide. Participants are not required to provide evidence of prior training in the above standards to register for this course.
